Welcome to SPWLA Fall 2010 Topical Conference Savannah, Georgia, USA October 10-14, 2010 Deepwater Petrophysics Petrophysics for deepwater exploration, appraisal, and production of oil faces challenges inadequately addressed using the wisdom, technology, and techniques built from experience in shallower, shelf areas. Unique challenges evolve as discovery and exploitation of oil and gas in water depths from 1 000 feet to approaching 10 000 feet become the new norm. Key topics for deepwater petrophysics will be covered to help frame and address many petrophysical questions and opportunities that are now confronted on a daily basis. To encourage sharing of the latest techniques and ideas, conference attendance is limited and proceedings are off the record. Some possible topics to be included based on interests and expertise of attendees: Lithology, Fluid, and Pore Pressure Prediction Geomechanics, Drilling Hazards and Real Time Mitigation 3D Spatial Accuracy and Positioning Coring and core analysis Fluids, Pressures, and Compartmentalization LWD and Wireline – Tool and Measurement Challenges Casing, Cementing, Completion, and Production Evaluation Making Decisions with Less Information Download the Registration Form (MS Word) View the Conference Flyer (PDF) Registration Deadline: Thursday, September 2, 2010
