Topics will vary from rock typing to upscaling, from pore scale modeling and imaging to uncertainty characterization, and on to supervised response equation optimization through deterministic and non-deterministic approaches culminating with the topic of artificial intelligence and total data integration and rationalization. The conference will consist of three days of presentations and discussions. The first day will consider the current state of the art. The second day will be focused on more leading edge technology and the third day will focus on how we can move the petrophysicist away from just punching the buttons and back into an interpretation management role. To encourage sharing of the latest techniques and ideas, conference attendance is limited and proceedings are off the record. A formal application is available at www.SPWLA.org Application Deadline: August 19, 2011 „h Rock Typing: Clustering Classification, Neural Networks, Expert Systems „h Upscaling „h Pore Scale Modeling & Imaging „h Uncertainty Characterization „h Supervised Response Equation Optimization (Non-Deterministic and Deterministic) Approaches „h AI (Artificial Intelligence) & Total 3D Data Integration & Rationalization
