2013 CALL FOR ABSTRACTS SPWLA 54th Annual Logging Symposium DON'T MISS OUT! 2 WEEKS UNTIL THE SUBMISSION DEADLINE! The 2013 international symposium will be held in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA once again. Since the last symposium in 2005, New Orleans has seen more than its share of tragedy and triumph. The city has risen from the devastation of Hurricane Katrina as a much leaner and more resilient destination while at the same time maintaining its unique mystique and culture. As our event will closely follow Superbowl XLVII, newly installed parks, promenades, nightclubs, and streetcar lines have increased its touristic appeal. The annual symposium has traditionally provided a platform for members to showcase and share new technologies and methodologies developed in our daily activities. We solicit papers on all aspects of formation evaluation. The SPWLA Board of Directors invites you to join us in New Orleans, June 22-26, 2013 to showcase your recent innovations and discoveries at the 54th Annual Symposium. ° Unconventional Resources, Challenges and Case Histories; Shale hydrocarbon, tight gas, coal bed methane, related new technology ° Conventional Reservoirs, Challenges and Case Histories; Shaly sand, carbonates, low resistivity pay, variable water salinity, EOR, new technology ° New Logging Technology: Sensor Introduction and Validation; Resistivity, nuclear, sonic, magnetic resonance, pressure and sampling, mud logging, imaging ° Advanced Mud Logging and Real-Time Decision-Making: Case Histories; Well placement, safety in over-pressured zones, drilling and completion optimization, wellbore stability and other well safety issues, related new technology ° Cased-Hole/Production Logging; Production logging, cement integrity, EOR, formation evaluation, related new technology ° Deep Water and Laminated Reservoirs Case Studies; Highlight application of new and existing petrophysical techniques to solve the unique challenges in the Gulf of Mexico, offshore Brazil, offshore West Africa, and other deep water drilling environments of the world Your abstract must be submitted no later than Sunday, November 4, 2012 through online submission at www.editorialmanager.com/spwla.
