The topics are intended as a guide and are not exhaustive. The deadline for receipt of Abstracts is April 14, 2012. The Technical Committee will finalise the presentations and authors will be notified by April 29, 2012. However, complete papers must be submitted by June 30, 2012. The language of the conference is English. Papers not selected for presentation in the Summit, may be considered for publication in the Summit Special Issue of the Oil Asia Journal, or the Summit Proceedings volume. Manuscripts preferably written by Microsoft Word in two copies should be submitted to Chief Technical Coordinator at the address given in the Abstract Dataform. The text should be organized as follows: Title; Author's name and address; Abstract: Introduction; Sections and Sub-sections; Discussion and Conclusions; Acknowledgement; References; Appendices. Figures should be drawn in black on transparent drawing paper or printed by laser quality printer. Figures should not be inserted in the text, but should be given at the end of the paper with list of captions. Figures may bear captions, but should also be identified in the margin. Also send soft copy of the author's photograph and brief resume of 2 paragraphs. Note for Authors/Presenters: Authors/Presenters are expected to submit their Abstracts, and Papers well in time, as delayed Abstracts would not be considered for presentation in the Summit. Since the expected number of quality papers is very large, authors are encouraged to send Abstracts by email at the earliest. Authors/Presenters should submit 200 - 300 words abstract along with a brief resume of two paragraphs along with a soft copy of your photograph. Technical Papers The organisers and sponsors of the 19th Annual India Oil & Gas Review Summit invite Technologists, Project Managers, Consultants, Engineers, Equipment Manufacturers, service providers and others involved in Petroleum Sector and shipping etc to present quality Technical Papers on Petroleum Industry . Any enquiry about Technical Presentations contact : Technical Coordinator at +91-022-4050 4925 Topics to be Discussed The main objective of this event is to explore the emerging Business Technologies & Opportunities in Exploration & Production, Refining & Marketing, Shale Gas, Petrochemicals, Pipelines & Storage, Marine fuel Transportation, Retailing & Distribution, Energy Alternatives & Cleaner Fuel Options, Renewable Energy, Health Safety & Environment & Human Resource Development. Below is the list of some of the topics that will be considered: Upstream Deep Water Exploration and production The Completion and Intervention sessions will explore a variety of completion & intervention topics that focus on reducing the cost, limiting the operational risk, and increasing project value. The following topics will cover technologies and techniques used to meet the specific challenges of deep water: Flow Assurance, Trapped Annular Pressure, Sub-Sea Well Access and improved Real-time Decision Making through Better Down-Hole Data, Artificial Lift, and Reducing Losses in High-Over-Balance Wells. Deep Water Drilling Technology Drilling comprises the majority of the cost for an exploratory well and a substantial portion of the cost for a development project. Drilling engineers must provide well designs and select appropriate technology to achieve the project goals - drill the well on time, within budget. The quality and well integrity should be suitable for production for the life of the well. Drilling technology and innovative solutions can act as enablers for exploratory wells and can provide tools to minimize time and/or risk for development projects. The presentations in this session include technical advances in a variety of areas, including BHA vibrations, fluids, expandable tubular, and riser less mud recovery. Case studies for extended reach wells and field development solutions are also included. ° Advances in Drilling & Completion Fluids ° Deep-sea Drilling & Production ° Horizontal & Extended Reach Drilling ° Well Completions /constructions ° Well Design & Engineering ° Well Engineering ° Emergencies like Blowout control Deep Water Production Systems Operating systems in deepwater have shown significant advancement over the last few years as we go deeper and further and as production volumes increase demands tax production systems on a daily basis. Stringent conditions group and the overview of ongoing production operations making sure that all guidelines are followed and aligned to regulations. This program year will provide a look at some exciting new equipment, production enhancement applications and flow assurance case histories that exhibit cutting edge technology which will impact production systems and deliverables for the future. ° Flow Assurance ° Operation & Maintenance of Pipeline ° Transportation of Oil & Gas (Pipelines ° Intelligent Well Technology ° Managing Heavy, Sour, Acidic Crudes ° Operation Strategies & Optimization Deep Water HS&E / Regulatory Exploring the safety culture of the E&P industry and verifying competency on safe work practices are the focus areas of this session. The paper will discuss ways to identify and quantify the behaviours, attitudes, and other factors that can make or break a safety program, the relationship between safety culture and safety performance, where the petroleum industry stands among other industries in safety performance, what separates most E&P companies from the benchmark best, and where the E&P industry can improve. ° Ecology & Environment Concerns ° Oil Spill Control & Remedial ° Petroleum Management and Safety ° Fire Protection/ Fire fighting Deep Water Emerging Technologies Hostile geologic environments, deep wells, ultra-deep water depths, loop currents, and severe storms combine to provide some of the most challenging conditions faced anywhere in the world. Presentations in this session illustrate new drilling and production concepts and technologies and describe the novel and cost-effective engineering solutions for two deepwater projects that have been developed to meet the conditions and challenges of EXPANDING THE FRONTIER. Deep Water Geosciences' Geoscientists are integral components to the deepwater value chain and proponents of implementing the innovations necessary in the pursuit of this challenge. This year’s presentations illustrate this with topics ranging from the value of understanding the gulf basin from “mantle-to-seep” in the ongoing search for hydrocarbons, to the geo-mechanical challenges of drilling in and around complex salt structures. ° Seismic Surveys, Data Processing & Interpretation ° Surface & Sub-Surface Geophysics ° Geochemical Exploration ° Geotechnical Engineering ° Exploration & Development Geology ° Exploration Surveys, Seismic Well Logging & Basin Modelling ° Logging and Formation Evaluation
