SPWLA 51st Annual Logging Symposium Perth, Western Australia - June 19 - 23, 2010

The 2010 SPWLA Symposium is sited in Perth, Western Australia. Perth is a rapidly growing hub for the oil and gas industry in the Asia Pacific region. Almost every aspect of formation evaluation from deepwater wildcat exploration, unconventional reservoirs and resources, to mature production in onshore areas is represented in the region. Our industry is witness to generations of progress in the technologies used to explore and produce energy resources. The annual symposium has traditionally provided a platform for members to showcase and share new technologies and methodologies developed and deployed in our daily activities. The SPWLA Board of Directors invites you to join us in Perth, June 19-23, 2010 to showcase your recent innovations and discoveries at the 51st Annual Symposium.

We solicit papers of all aspects of formation evaluation.
Subjects may include:

° Carbonate Evaluation
° Low Contrast - Low Resistivity Thin Bed Evaluation

° Petrophysical Properties / Log-Core Integration
° Integrated FE Data Studies and Methodologies
° High Angle / Horizontal Well Evaluation
° Logging and Measurement While Drilling
° Acoustic / Borehole Seismic
° Nuclear Logging
° Electrical / Electromagnetic Logging
° Magnetic Resonance Logging
° Formation Testing
° Cased-hole / Production Logging
A special session, including posters, dedicated to South East Asia Regional case studies and technical specialties is planned.

Your abstract must be submitted no later than October 21, 2009 through online submission at www.spwla.org. The information contained in the abstract is the principal basis for the acceptance of the paper into the technical program. Notification of acceptance will be made in December, 2009. If accepted, the abstract will be published in the April, 2010 issue of Petrophysics. The paper will be scheduled for presentation at the Perth Symposium, and a complete manuscript will be required for the Transactions by April 9, 2010. NOTE TO AUTHORS: Complete a separate on-line form for each abstract submitted. For multiple authors, the submission should come only from the designated corresponding author. Your abstract should contain 200 to 400 words. Avoid the use of equations, trademarks, literature references, and supplementary text. Please consult the online instructions (to be posted soon) as to whether there be any limitations as to characters that may be used (e.g., Greek symbols or special punctuation such as colons).
